Edgo has announced that it has further expanded its activities in Africa by establishing a presence in Mauritania in North Africa.
Edgo with its local Mauritanian partners, AlWadiyan Group, will deliver technical and logistic support solutions and oilfield services and products to the growing activities in the hydrocarbon sector, which are mainly offshore. Edgo is focusing on providing services to major oil companies including BP, ExxonMobil, Kosmos and Chevron and for LNG developments in Tortue-1 and Ahmeyim-2 fields.
BP will invest billions of dollars mostly in the form of a multi-year exploration and development carry in the Tortue field, estimated by Kosmos to contain more than 15 trillion cubic feet of discovered gas resources.
Edgo’s decades of experience in LNG projects in places like Algeria, Oman and Yemen coupled with the its local partnerships will bring added value to the involvement and development of local Mauritanian content.
